JEE Advanced 2024: IIT Madras has finally announced the JEE Advanced Exam Date 2024 on the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. As per the official announcement, the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam will be conducted on May 26, 2024 (Sunday) for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Also, candidates can able to fill out the application form for the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam from April 21, 2024 till April 30, 2024. Students who have qualified for the JEE Mains 2024 Exam will be eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced exam. On qualifying for the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam, the students will be offered admission to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s, and Dual Degree programs offered by the IITs. JEE Advanced 2024

JEE Advanced 2024 is a competitive exam that is held for admission to top engineering colleges in India. It’s the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and is for students who qualify for JEE Mains. The exam assesses candidates’ understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It consists of two papers: paper 1 and paper 2, each paper with multiple choice and numerical answers type questions. The score determines admission to prestigious institutions like IITs. JEE Advanced is conducted every year by any one of the 7 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Admissions to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s, and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the 23 IITs, including the Indian School of Mines (ISM) are done based on the ranks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced 2024 Exam.

JEE Advanced 2024- Exam Summary

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Date

The exam dates for JEE Advanced 2024 has been released. As per the latest updates, IIT Madras is going to conduct the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Paper 1 on May 26, 2024. Whereas the JEE Advanced 2024 registration process is scheduled to start from April 21, 2024. The JEE Advanced exam will be conducted online as a computer-based exam. Only the top 2,50,000 candidates who qualified for the JEE Mains examination will be able to register themselves for the JEE Advanced exam.

JEE Advanced 2024 Application Form

The JEE Advanced 2024 Application Forms will be released on April 21, 2024 by the IIT Madras at the official website i.e., www.jeeadv.ac.in. The last date to register for JEE Advanced 2024 Exam is April 30, 2024. The candidates will have to fill in their personal, academic, educational, and communication information to register themself for the JEE Advanced 2024. The students who secure top ranks in JEE Mains and meet the age limit, number of attempts, and educational criteria, can apply for JEE Advanced to pursue admission to prestigious Indian Institute of Technology.

How to Fill JEE Advanced Application Form 2024?

The JEE Advanced Application Form 2024 can be filled in through 4 stages which are as follows:

4. Final Submission

Registration 

1. Login to Using JEE Advanced 2024 registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email address, the candidates would have to log in to register for the examination.
2. Then a question will appear on your screen “Are you Interested in AAT 2024?”, Choose ‘Yes’ if you want admission to AAT 2024 else to choose ‘No’.
3. Select the preferred exam centres from the list of exam centres.
4. Fill in other details as required in the application form.

JEE Advanced 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced, which is the entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), typically includes the points mentioned below. This is to inform all the students planning to appear in the JEE Advanced Examination 2024 that they must visit the official website i.e., www.jeeadv.ac.in for the most latest updates about the examination.

1. Open- 40.5%
2. General EWS – 10%
3. OBC-NCL candidates – 27%
4. SC candidates – 15%
5. ST candidates – 7.5%
6. PWD candidates - Horizontal reservation of 5% in all the above categories

Number of attempts

A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced twice in two consecutive years 

Performance in JEE Mains: 

The candidate should be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Mains. The category-wise distribution of this includes a specific number of seats for various categories.

Appearance in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination

The students should have passed their class 12 examination in 2022 or those who are appearing for the exam in 2024 can also apply for JEE Advanced 2024.

Earlier admission at IITs/ISM

A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. Candidates whose admission at IITs was canceled after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2024.

Age Limit 

The general category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. The age relaxation of 5 years will be provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.

Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2022 can also apply for JEE Advanced 2024.

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Pattern

JEE Advanced 2024 will contain two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2, with two language options viz. English and Hindi. Candidates must prepare for the exam by referring to the exam pattern prescribed by the exam conducting authorities. Preparing for the given exam with respect to the exam pattern will increase the chances of qualifying for the exam.
